Environmental Goal

ZXY is committed to continuous environmental improvement through sourcing operations and collaboration with vendors. We partner with suppliers committed to eco-responsibility and invest in-house environmental practices, e.g. waste reduction, ecological protection certifications, chemical & water management and renewable energy. In addition, our compliance team constantly assesses and upskills our supply chain with the latest compliance and ethical guidelines to ensure we keep improving and setting the highest standards.
People

Community Goal

ZXY has invested in maintaining a positive impact on people living and working in our regional locations. Collaborating with supplier partners, our teams strive to develop best practices, drive ethical transparency, and identify opportunities for positive change throughout the value chain. In addition, our CSR team and 7 STREAMS Foundation work together with factories and brands, championing projects that make a real difference to impacted communities.

Global Recycled Standard

The GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions. The GRS is intended to meet the needs of companies looking to verify the recycled content of their products (both finished and intermediate) and to verify responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production.

Friend of ZDHC

Friend of ZDHC

Being a friend of ZDHC, ZXY collaborates with ZDHC and its Supplier to Zero program, also it will help us to gain a deeper understanding of ZDHC’s work. Further, ZXY and its suppliers will have access to ZDHC gateway, platform, and trainings to gain more insight and tools on robust chemical management in all our wet processing activities.

We believe being part of the ‘Friends’ category with the rest of the brands, retailers, online-retailers and intermediates (sourcing agents/ importers and exporters ) will help us to fulfil our roadmap 2025 & 2030 commitments for shared environmental and where we operate globally.

MADE IN GREEN BY OEKO-TEX® is a traceable consumer label for products made with materials tested for harmful substances, made in environmental friendly facilities and made in safe and socially responsible workplaces.
Ecovadis 2021 (Silver)

Ecovadis 2021 (Silver)

Provides holistic business CSR ratings through an online platform service of companies allowing access to the classification of the corporate CSR performance on Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement impacts built on 3 pillars: People, Process and Platform. The “Silver” level places us in the top 25% of companies with CSR Ratings.
Higg Index

Higg Index

The Higg Index is an apparel and footwear industry self-assessment standard for assessing environmental and social sustainability throughout the supply chain. it was developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, a nonprofit organization founded by a group of fashion companies, the United States government Environmental Protection Agency. Across topics such as water use, carbon emissions, and labor conditions, consumer goods brands, retailers, manufacturers, governments, NGOs and consumers can use the Higg Index to inform their individual sustainability strategies and drive collective industry transformation.

Our Ethical Milestones

Our Commitment, we did it organically

2002

ZXY Ethical Code of Conduct published.

2003

Launched ZXY Compliance Team & In House Laboratory.

2005

Establishment of in-house design & innovation teams with studio and sampling unit owned by ZXY.

2006

ZXY’s first production of fully traceable Organic Cotton & Fleece.

2012

Fire Safety Awareness Training program for vendors initiated by ZXY in collaboration with WRAP and 40 factory-partners.

2013

Onboarded Independent Audit Team to cross verify factory accreditation (BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX).

2014

Recruitment of in-house Structural Engineer to work alongside ZXY- Compliance Team in ensuring all structural, electrical and operational integrity across the supply base, ZXY became ISO 9001:2008 QMS certified.

2016

Standalone Sustainability Sourcing Team was created to research and innovate. The first product line was shown at ISPO.

2017

Invested in 3D design platforms Optitex & CLO Turning point of CSR journey with inauguration of the ZXY Foundation ‘7 STREAMS’ partnered with ECOVADIS platform & CPI2. In-house Technical 3D Team was recruited.

2019

ZXY International FZCO became GOTS certified.

2020

ZXY achieved the target of transforming 15% of its total production volume into 100% sustainable products. Investment in our Global Design digital capabilities by completing in-person training with both CLO 3D software and the full Adobe Creative Suite package, ZXY became Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX and Global Recycle Standard (GRS) certified.
